95 Grenfell Street

Adelaide’s 95 Grenfell Street is a premium-grade office tower featuring 21 levels of contemporary workspace in the heart of the CBD. As part of a recent refurbishment, the building introduced a state-of-the-art end-of-trip (EOT) facility to enhance tenant experience and support active commuting.

“The client aimed to enhance their current end-of-trip facilities by incorporating amenities for both male and female users,” explains Megan Roper, Interior Designer at MPH Architects. The expansion included additional lockers, basins, and showers, along with a cosmetic upgrade of existing facilities, to create a high-end, functional space for tenants.

Project Brief

With cycling and running becoming popular commuting options in Adelaide, high-quality EOT spaces play a crucial role in encouraging healthier lifestyles and improving tenant retention. The design brief for 95 Grenfell Street’s EOT facility focused on sophistication, durability, and user comfort.

Key challenges included:

  • Bespoke joinery requirements: The design called for custom-made elements that blended seamlessly with standard product offerings.
  • Minimising disruption: As the refurbishment took place in an operational building, efficient installation and rapid turnaround were essential.
  • Complex fit-out logistics: Multiple trades had to work in close proximity within a confined space, requiring careful coordination.
Duracube Solution

Duracube was chosen for their expertise in bathroom joinery systems and ability to balance quality, durability, and customisation. Their extensive range of prefabricated components streamlined the process, ensuring high performance in wet areas such as showers, toilets, and basins.

For bespoke elements, Duracube’s in-house manufacturing capabilities enabled seamless integration with the existing colour palette. The Southern Pine finish introduced warmth and texture, complementing the neutral wall and floor tiles.

Duracube’s efficient manufacturing and logistics ensured timely delivery, minimising disruption to tenants. Their collaborative approach with project managers and trades facilitated smooth coordination and problem-solving throughout the fit-out.

Reflecting on the project’s success, Megan Roper noted:
“We found Duracube to be exceptionally user-friendly throughout our design process. They provided samples promptly and were highly responsive to our technical inquiries.”

By combining standardised solutions with custom fabrication, Duracube delivered a sophisticated, high-performing EOT facility that met both aesthetic and functional goals—reinforcing their reputation as a leader in Australian bathroom joinery systems.
